Cingjing Farm is worth a trip. It has beautiful scenery.
Cingjing Farm is worth a trip. It has beautiful scenery. The kids love feeding the sheep and it's a very pleasant outing for the family. Do not miss the horse show. It is very skilfully done by expert riders. The skywalk is also worth a trip to admire the rolling hills and tea plantations. From the southern end of the skywalk, you can continue to Carton King via a fenced walkway. Not too long a walk. However, Swiss Gardens was a disappointment. Not many flowers, the lake water level was so low, and algae filled. Honestly, not much to see.

The township sits above the clouds, which makes for some truly stunning views. Waking up for sunrise is a must.
If you approach via Taroko, do so a bit earlier depending on road closures. The sea of clouds on the way is phenomenal, its a long road and full of narrow hairpin turns.
Its a great place to enjoy the cooler temperatures than you get at sea level.

This area is very touristy and the infrastructure cant cope with the volume of people meaning the places we wanted to visit were simply over crowded. We went to do some walks but the sheer number of cars early in the morning meant we had no where to park so our main purpose for going was not possible - I real downside to the trip. The mountains are beautiful but too many tourists for anyone to get a wilderness experience.

The staff that greets our group was very friendly and polite. Explained in details about the house rules as well as when was the best time to view the sunrise and where to procure our food stuffs if needed. The room that we booked was spacious, clean, with balcony and toiletries are complete as what we saw in our booking. Simple buffet breakfast was provided but meeting our expectation. It was a good experience stay.

The fairly new cafe complex was excellent.
The fairly new cafe complex was excellent. We enjoyed a great but inexpensive meal in Balens. Also liked the visit to CingJing Farm - a great day out for all the family. Feeding sheep was great fun and the horse show was good. We all enjoyed the SkyWalk, too. Also through the hotel we were able to arrange a visit to Mt Henan which was well worth a visit.
Sadly it was too cloudy for star gazing. But we did see some stars at night. But an early morning sunrise tour would be grat if sky is relatively clear.

Went because of Cingjing Farm but the farm was badly maintained, sheep looks dirty. Staffs at the farm are unfriendly. If you go for view, then should just go Alishan. But if you want to spent quiet moments with your loved ones, Renai maybe for you as it is less crowded than Alishan.
Due to covid there is no breakfast as buffet, but this is such a pity which you supposed to expect a vibe with morning breakfast. And now you feel like it's back to dormitory. The location of this hotel is just next to the main road, so it's not that cozy and relax place. And you can easier to hear the noisy or talk conversation just next to your room. However, the stuff is helpful and kind. But just like I comment and rate, the value doesn't worth you to pay such price.
Loved the excellent traditional Taiwanese breakfast. Also fun 8pm "teatime". Good location with restuarants, 7-11 and bus stop a short walk away. Helpful staff. Wonderful views of valley and mountains. Somewhat older hotel but with fun, eclectic decor. Room was small but had everything we needed. We came for hiking the high country but if your interest is the "farms", thet are just 3 km up the road.
Conveniently located not far from the bus-stops, but quiet environment. The Hotel is in Old English Style, the breakfast is really good and the hosts are very friendly - can recommend to stay there, also it seems to be one of the first and most traditional hotels in the now very touristic area of Taiwan
I think the best part abt this hotel were the staff. Super polite and helpful. Room was also a good size, beds were comfortable with heating on it, they were able to arrange a tasty vegetarian breakfast for us and the location is in a good place- close to most things qingjing farm has to offer.
High CP value! Room was very spacious with large toilet, fridge, various amenities and balcony(with nice view). Location is also 5 mins away from bus-stop (contact hotel for bus-stop name) with buses to and from taichung/puli and cingjing. Breakfast with good variety was provided too!
great location near Qingjing farm (Upper entrance) - can walk to that easily without walking on the road much / at all - if you know the shortcut through the nearby public parking area. Plenty of hotel parking, large room, and super comfy bed. Lots of breakfast items.
The slide in the room was awesome and fun for kids. About pricey but I guess it's worth the experience..
Was able to see the sunset rising at 5am from the hotel room for some rooms. Family room comes with own outside balcony for looking at the view
The hotel is very well maintained. Lovely and comfortable. We went there to simply relax and recharge from the daily life. we got more than that. The hosts offer fantastic services like old friends. It feels more like a home away from home.
The view is exceptional for our room. The staff was really friendly in helping us to get to know the surrounding. The vibe of the hotel is comfortable.
Breakfast included is sufficient. A Taiwan/Asian style breakfast.
- the hosts are lovely and attentive
- the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable
- the spa in the room is fantastic
- the breakfast is so delicious!
- there is nothing that I don't like about the hotel
Staff are friendly, helpful & professional. Room is spacious, breakfast is simple but I love it so. I have home feel in this hotel, comfortable, no pressure and love to stay again. Surely we shall come back
