In the heart of alishan by all the hiking trails. Clean. Large room. Loved the buffet breakfast and dinner

A resort hotel in the mountains - beautiful area. We stayed an extra night it was so nice. Reception staff very kind and helpful. They even let us check into our room early, which hadn't happened elsewhere in Taiwan. Food was good and plentiful in the restaurant. A separate Shanghai-style 50's restaurant in the historic part of the hotel serves tea, cakes, and beer in the afternoon and evening. There is also a small outdoor cafe where you can drink tea/coffee and listen to atmospheric classical Chinese music. There are plenty of relatively short walks in the woods on wooden walkways near the hotel. Lots of stairs. It can get busy with tour groups in the late morning and afternoon. Overall, this is a good place to spend a couple of nights if you are on a whirlwind trip through Taiwan like we were.

A central location in the park! Facilities have been renovated so it feels comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are included, and the buffet-style meals were quite enjoyable too. A short bus ride to the parking lot, or maybe a 10-15 minute walk to Alishan Station. Though a bit pricey, understandable for its easy access to the park for the sunrise.

The buffet breakfast and dinner was great with wide selection. The bus service provided was also relatively punctual and helpful. The room was big and cozy enough for a family of four with complete amenities.

Alishan Hotel was the fanciest (by which I mean, the most expensive) place I stayed at during my two weeks in Taiwan, by a lot. Mostly, that is a function of location. The hotel sits among 7000-foot mountains amid the most beautiful forest I have ever seen in my life. The hotel stay includes a lavish buffet dinner and an equally lavish breakfast. My room was large and comfortable.

It is probably the best hotel right inside the park. Some may think the hotel is dated, but there is a lot of history in the building. It’s not an inexpensive stay, but it’s worth it just to be next to all the trails. The rooms are spacious and great for families. Breakfast and dinner were included and the food is fresh and amazing; mostly Chinese food with some western options. The service is exceptional and attentive. The shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes and is very convenient.
